OneCity Trust Open For Grant Applications

 

The OneCity Trust is pleased to announce that its main grant funding programme for applications is currently open.  Registered charities and constituted groups based in Edinburgh and focussing their work in the city; ideally with an annual income of less than £200,000 are invited to apply for funding for equality and social inclusion projects meeting one or more of the following priorities:

  • Community Connectedness;
  • Cultural bridging;
  • Civic Inclusion.

 

For the fourth year, the OneCity Trust will continue their partnership with Travis Perkins Managed Services and the City of Edinburgh Council.  This is a Community Benefit Legacy fund offered to the Council by Travis Perkins as part of a major contract and is managed through the OneCity Trust.

Applications for this funding will be considered from organisations that involve City of Edinburgh Council tenants or from other organisations aiming to benefit geographical areas with a high proportion of Council homes.

One City Trust is also delighted to announce their new partnership with Engie Regeneration Ltd and the City of Edinburgh Council.  This is a Community Benefit Legacy fund offered to the Council by Engie Regeneration Ltd, as part of a major contract to construct 184 homes for social housing/mid-market rent and 132 homes for sale at the North Sighthill site in Edinburgh.

Applications for this funding will be considered from organisations that involve City of Edinburgh Council tenants or from other organisations aiming to benefit the south west, preferably in the wards and localities of Broomhouse, Wester Hailes and Parkhead (particularly with the EH11 postcode).

Overall, the Trust intends to make up to 15 grants, of between £5,000 and £10,000.

The deadline for applications is Friday 19th April 2019 and projects should commence on Monday 1st July 2019 and run for up to one year.  Please note one off projects will also be considered.

A condition of this funding agreement will be the promotion, media and photographic opportunities organised with the OneCity Trust, at any time throughout the period of the fund.  You must also acknowledge the source of your funding at every opportunity, e.g logos on websites, promotional materials, etc.

Update on McGill & Co Ltd

Following the closure of McGill & Co Ltd, City of Edinburgh Council (CEC) has contacted everyone who were either undergoing a Kitchen and Bathroom replacement or were scheduled to receive an upgrade in the coming months.  Work is continuing to complete the properties who were at various stages of upgrade and CEC is looking at alternative avenues to deliver the Kitchen and Bathroom Programme to all the other tenants who were scheduled under McGills.  CEC will continue to support tenants through this difficult time and officers will continue to visit and update tenants.  However if there are any questions, please contact Housing Property – 0131 529 5969, 8.30am-5.00pm.  Repairs Direct – 0131 200 2345, or email repairsdirect@edinburgh.gov.uk, 8.00am-8.00pm
